We took a tour called "Through the eyes of Russians" and it offered the opportunity to get out and about in St. Petersburg. We went to a mall which was almost deserted. Seems that 2 devaluations of the Ruble have made non-Russian products very expensive. We then went to an indoor farmer's market before riding the subway a bit. Their subway stations are about 330' underground and are meant to double as bomb shelters. The escalator ride is something else as it goes very fast. However, the stations are the real reason for going as they are very elegant. After that, some shopping then a vodka tasting with nosh of pickles and lard on rye. Other images in this gallery are from the bus and a couple of stops along the way.
