St. Petersburg was our main stop on the cruise and we spent 3 full days there. For many of us, it was our first time in Russia. The first two days were overcast which is the norm as it gets about 40 days of sun per year, a year described by locals as "9 months of anticipation and 3 months of disappointment". The third day was sunny and warm.
