Friday was Zoo Parents Day picnic at the St. Louis Zoo. This is an annual event, when families who "adopt" the care of a favorite animal are invited after regular public hours for dinner and special tours.
Our special animal was the Malayan Sun Bear, but when we got to their habitat, they were hiding and could not be seen.
But plenty of other animals were out to be seen.

Camera: Pentax *ist D with 18 - 55mm lens; Aperture Priority exposure mode, mostly set to f/8 and ASA 800.
