Saint Louis Zoo 032214

First weekend of the new Spring, and I went to the St. Louis Zoo with my daughter.
It was partly cloudy and cool.
Plant life looked to me like much of it had tried to make an early start for the growing season, then got bitten by recent frigid weather.
Animals were doing okay.
Camera: Pentax *ist D digital body with 18 - 55 zoom lens.
I left the ASA setting at 800.
Waterfalls were about 1/30 second at around f:32, they were in the shade.
Images in the open were at f:8 or f:11 with very quick shutter speeds.

That's a great zoo. That's about the least-threatening hyena I've ever seen. They look like they're very spooky in the wild.

The underwater shots are terrific, as is the giant squid. A good day for the two of you.
