Rocheport, Missouri

Monday May 15, 2006, I was driving home from Wichita, Kansas. I stopped mid-Missouri at Rocheport for a break.
Rocheport is a very old town on the Missouri River going back to the early 1820s. The locale is noted in the journals of Louis and Clark. The village hangs on with a population of about 200 and is a National Historical site. It is also an access point for the Katy Trail, a state maintained walking and biking path that runs for some 200 miles, laid out on the former railbed of the defunct Katy railroad line.
The photos in this gallery are from my brief walk on a portion of the trail on Monday afternoon.
Camera was a Pentax MV body with Ricoh f:1.4 / 50mm lens, and Konica Minolta VX 200 Super print film.
