Road to Wichita 050814

Last week Thursday, on my way to Wichita, I stopped in at the Brass Armadillo just east of Kansas City for a little break from the road.

Camera was Pentax K100 D with 18 to 55mm lens. All images are hand held and available light. For very dark areas in the mall, I boosted the ASA setting to as high as 1600.

Wow, the old typwriters are in good condition. Most people today have never seen one.

Very nice. I think the kitty is a Christmas ornament resting on the chair. Haven't seen a Tomy child's typewriter in a while.......

The extreme closeups are striking. Neat kitty and ball of yarn Looks like reels of home movie films next to the dead end sign...a commentary on the demise of film as we knew it.
