I found this camera really cheap at a charity thrift store.

It is an older generation, but has some nice features. It is relatively small and light, but has some of the feel of an SLR. Several different capture modes can be selected. Display is switchable between eye level finder and rear screen, and shows relevant data such as shutter speed and aperture. Lens is fast with 10 x optical zoom. Autofocus extends to a macro range. Camera is powered with 4 AA batteries, and storage is on common SD memory cards.

So cleaned up and loaded with fresh batteries and memory card, it went with me to Powder Valley Nature Conservation Area. Weather was a little cool, with small clouds passing intermittently.
Some of the animals are real and alive, and some are stuffed items in the indoor displays of the visitors' center. After a little time inside the building and at the large windows overlooking the bird feeder area, I went out and walked one of the shorter trails.

In general, I was happy with the way the camera behaved. I think images have a nice look to them. Everything was shot using available light, hand held, with Aperture Priority Mode selected.
