Not Weeds

With Joyce not home, care of the gardens has fallen into my hands. I have been puzzling over many of the plants this spring, not sure which will be flowers and which should be weeded out.
Here are some that I was just about ready to clip out.
Then this morning, this happened.
Camera: Pentax K110 D with SMC PENTAX-F Zoom f1:3.5-4.5 35-70 ZOOM MACRO.
Hand held, available light.
