This camera was made in 1962 when Mansfield Industries was a division of Argus Incorporated. It was manufactured for Mansfield/Argus by Mamiya in Japan.

It is actually nicely featured for a consumer camera. Selenium meter cell(still working and accurate!)surrounds the taking lens. Coupled rangefinder (still accurate!) focusing 3 feet to infinity. Seikosha 4 speed auto shutter, 1/30 - 1/250. User can select shutter speed priority Auto, or use it in metered manual, or full manual. X-sync flash enabled with pc socket and accesory shoe.

I found this specimen in original box with ever ready leather case among the "FREE" items in the meeting room at the annual Argus Collectors Group Gathering last month in Eden, North Carolina. I felt it was an interesting and exciting piece, worthy of a new home for the price of a freewill donation.

Today I took it, loaded with a roll of Konica Minolta ASA 200 print film from the freezer, to the St. Louis Zoo. Zoo was hot and crowded. But the traveling animated dinosaur exhibit was kind of fun.

Last shot is a triple (or more) exposure.. I loaded the film leader wrong onto the takeup spool when putting in the film (takeup spool was unique and unfamiliar) and as a result, at end of roll, the wind lever kept winding, but the leader had pulled out of the takeup, so film was going no further. Therefore, a blend of penguin and pelican shots.
