Pentax K100 D at Botanical Garden

After dropping off my wife for an appointment on Thursday, I had about 2 hours time on my own.
I was already halfway to Missouri Botanical Garden in the City, so I grabbed the opportunity.
Weather was less hot than it has been, and with increasing overcast.
Lighting conditions gave the flowers and foliage a different sort of look.
The camera I had picked up on the way out of the house was a Pentax K110 D, one with a broken autofocus mechanism, but I found that kind of nice. I was able to see when what I wanted was in focus, and did not have to fight a finicky auto system searching with its own agenda.
The clouds thickened until I left the parking lot, then it was a Biblical deluge with rapid street flooding and bad visibility.
The drive home was tricky, some hydroplaning with standing water on the highway.
But I got in my shoot and we got home safely.
A free car wash was thrown into the deal.
