I just found a Pentax ist d digital body at a rather reasonable price, knowing that sometimes the shutter button works, sometimes it fails. From another transaction I acquired a matching 18-55 mm lens, fairly cheap.

Yesterday was a great day for January after suffering through a long period of frigid weather, so I went out to test camera and lens at that little conservation area on Sappington Road. Open woods, 60 degrees and a frozen-over pond.

Equipment did well except for occasional failure of the shutter button.
This can be worked around with a plug-in remote release.
