The stretch of highway connecting Springfield, Illinois, with the St. Louis, Missouri, metro area is rather sparsely inhabited by people.
But it offers an amazing number of large antique malls.
This is the old route of fabled Route 66, now mostly superceded by Interstate 55.
Monday morning, on my return home from Springfield, I stopped at a few of those antique malls to explore.
Below, see some of my images from two of them, captured with my pocket sized Olympus Stylus Infinity 1010 digital. These are hand held, with available (mostly very dim) lighting. The little camera excells in that capacity.
