I picked up this lens in an antique store in Wisconsin years ago.
It is genuine Leica (Leitz), prewar, uncoated glass.
Friends were having a discussion on classic Leica items this week and I dug it out of hiding.
The lens seems to enjoy a good reputation.
I never gave it a test, and it is the only genuine Leica item that I own.
So I came up with a way of using a T Mount adapter with some changes to mount it to a Pentax digital SLR body. The lens to image plane distance is longer on a Pentax SLR than with Leica rangefinder systems, so in focusing, I was limited to subjects close up or macro.
I started the set indoors with ordinary tungsten lighting with color balance of camera set accordingly. Then I moved to around the outside of the house, with partly cloudy daylight conditions.
All images are handheld.... it was just easier that way, in tight quarters and limited focusing distances.
