Emmenegger Nature Preserve 011912

This was my first visit to this place, tucked in between I-270 and the Meramec River in Kirkwood, Missouri.
There are creeks and hills and woods, and miles of trails waiting to be explored.
January 19, and it was MUCH colder than it looks in the images!
Camera: my pocket sized Olympus Stylus 1010 digital.

Hope there wasn't that much trash, like the bottles. Very pretty, you really would not know it is winter.

Looks a bit like the South Platte near Denver -- at least in the winter, much greener in spring and summer I'm sure. Hope you get to explore more in warmer weather.

Stark but beautiful. Hmm 1/3 of the pictures are of a bottle... Really like 029!!!
