Crystal City, Missouri, is a fairly quiet place on the Mississippi River south of St. Louis.
PPG used to have a large float glass plant here, and hence the name of the city. The PPG works has been gone for awhile.
Bill Bradley, Olympic medal winner, basketball Hall of Famer, US Senator, and viable 2000 Presidential Candidate, was born and raised here.
Yesterday I made a brief exploration of a few locations, starting with the old business district.
