bad digitals

Went around the block to view today's aftermath of yesterday's ice storm. In my pocket I had our older digital camera, a Samsung Digimax 130. This is a 1.3 megapixel camera. It did strange things with the strange lighting... cold and foggy today. With trees limbs snapping and cracking without forewarning all around me, and dripping ice and fog, it was a bit perilous.
Another ice storm is due in tonight.

What an eerie looking sight. What bothers me the most during one of these ice storms is sitting in the dark (electricity is out) and listening to the cracking and creeking outside, just wondering if something will hit your house or near you.

Ed. These pictures show something beyond our comprehension. Nature is so beautiful, although I guess the aftermath will no be so great. We saw footage of the ice storm on the TV and marvelled at the effect of it. All your pictures are great. Thankyou for sharing.

You folks have really been hard hit with ice storms this winter. Hope this
will be the last one. Very nice pictures...the Samsung did well and so did

Those are otherworldly. I'm in south St. Louis, and we got much less ice than you in High Ridge, and less than in west St. Louis county.
