Sunday the 12th of August was Argus Day, or Argust Day...
that day every August when Argus camera lovers everywhere
share the "connection" of doing a little photography, wherever they may happen to be,
using Argus cameras.

This year I loaded two cameras, an Argus C4 and a postwar Argus A2B, with Walgreens ASA 200 print film.
The day dawned with a thick overcast sky and a milky quality to the light. Conditions had an effect on exposure considerations and on color.

I started out with the elf garden in our front yard and then headed off from home.

First stop was the drought-shrunken Meramec River under the bridge at Valley Park, Missouri. The river is normally up to 100 yards wide at this point. With so little seasonal rainfall, much of the bed is now exposed, and the water coming through is primarily from springs that feed in far up river.

Next stop was the parking lot of the Transportation Museum on Barrett Station Road.
