Argus Model A selections

Here is a selection of shots using various Argus Model A examples. Herpetarium and Primate House pics were shot with a very early 4 digit serial-numbered A from 1936. The others are also with uncoated prewar examples. I KNOW that it will not meet the range of capabilities in all situations the way a modern SLR will... but I think that the Model A, within its design parameters, if properly cleaned and adjusted to somewhat match its factory specs, can be a serious tool, and must not be confused with any "toy camera" designs. Please overlook shortcomings in my scanning efforts. All images ©2005 E.J.Kowalski.
