The Argus AF was a prewar camera of the late 1930s and early 1940s.
It was an "upgrade" of the original Model A, with the addition of a focusing mount rather than the simple two position focus of the Model A.
Everything else was essentially the same.
Black "bakelite" type body and metal back.
No rangefinder, just a simple viewfinder, and focus by guesstimation.
Focus range is from a close 1 1/4 feet to infinity.
Shutter is from 1/25 to 1/200 second plus B and T.
Aperture adjustment is from f/4.5 to f/11.

I purchased Serial No. 17888 AF recently in online auction.
Everything was complete, but camera was unusually dirty, and camera was essentially non-functioning.
Careful cleaning and repair paid off.

I loaded it up this morning with a roll of Walgreens asa 200 print film, got in close for a shot of our fresh daffodil blooms, and then headed to the Museum of Transportation.
