I believe the image contains a strong recognizable theme and is reasonably
exposed and framed. The ‘footsteps’ are dynamic and the boots are colorful
which, in my opinion, adds to why I like this photo. Lacking the upper portion
of the father’s body does not seem to detract from the subject, in fact I believe
it would have taken away from the overall impact had it been present. I like it as
is but, no excuses, it was stacked up against 30+ other images, some of which were
stunning. The best that can be said is that it is an average photo.
Printed as an 8 x 10 and mounted in an 11 x 14 mat.
