This bed in the deck is nearly 4ft at it's deepest and had to have a brick wall running diagonally across it demolished. The weight of the urn when full kept compacting the soil unevenly so that it leaned and the water came out one side only. To top it all, the bamboo tried to escape by sending rhizomes through the tiniest gaps in the timber.
