First year.
Had to remove some huge shrubs and remove some cottage style landscaping that was not to my taste.
I could then survey my canvas and plan my little piece of tropical heaven.
It was going to be quite a long journey, but there's no rush. Is anyone's garden ever finished ?

The garden looks east from the house, the southern aspect is undisturbed as I'm next door to a school with ground level only buildings.
So in summery, I have a long bed facing south opposite the garage side wall, this gets lots of sun.
The garage side wall points north and only gets sun early morning & evening.
