The Paul da Serra plateau, a popular hiking/walking destination, is the most ample and flattest location in the entire island, located in the central-west of Madeira between an approximate altitude of 1300-1500 meters. This altitude permits a fabulous view over lush green mountains and valleys. On days of excellent weather you may even be able to see the ocean on both the north and south coasts.
