And here is a road's-eye-view of the ants on the ground.
But there is something puzzling me about this. I always thought that ant and bee mating swarms were composed of many drones (males) in search of a single queen. Seems to me there were just as many females as males in this swarm. Either that or there was major Brokeback Mountain activity going on. Any entomologists out there with an answer?
