...the very species we had tried so hard to see. It was a Twin-spotted, about 13 inches long and it had just recently eaten. We get upset when a garter snake is run over by mistake. So you can imagine how we felt when we realized what we had just done. This afterall is probably the rarest snake in the U.S. Needless to say, we were extra cautious throughout the rest of the trip.
