It is wonderful how the whole valley opens itself in winter. When the spring foliage comes in
just a few months, the hillside across the creek and the walking path on Forbidden Drive (you
can see the fence cutting across the landscape) will be hidden from view. That time has its own
beauty for sure. It is just easy to overlook the quiet beauty of a cold, still, winter afternoon.
