This is a little resting stop along Forbidden Drive in the Wissahickon Valley.
It was built as part of the WPA Program during the Great Depression in the 1930s.
Last year, it was damaged by a fire. As it happened, I took pictures of the
original structure the day before it was charred. Somewhere in this collection
is a picture of how it used to look. The major difference is that the right side
(as you view it) was enclosed with shutters on the windows. I liked it better
the old way, but this building is growing on me, I must say.
