I want you to meet a one-of-a-kind Gillie. He was oveerseeing the service when I was there and when things slowed down, he came by and sat down at my table. Everybody working at Gillie's Soul Food restaurant in Charleston is a member of the same family. Abd their food? All made from scratch and guaranteed to fill you up. I ate there twice and enjoyed shrimp and grits, baked chicken and, of course, their signature banana pudding, all $8.95 worth!
