Growing on the banks of Bull Run in Manassas National Battlefield Park. Just starting to bloom - will be beautiful for the next week or two.
The plant is anywhere from 6 to 12 inches tall and has numerous clusters of flowers like this. They droop down near the ground and when they are fully open (like the blue one) the look like blue bells.
The camera is about an inch from the ground.
