3/12/07 - Dancing Tulips

Back to experiments after yesterday's PAD "straight" shot of these tulips.
This is a three second exposure done using shutter priority. Camera is on a tripod to get the effect that I wanted - something that looked like a multiple exposure. I pressed the shutter release and then moved the camera horizontally (actually panned it on the tripod) in five very small discrete steps. The final result was what I envisioned - just about what you'd get if you shot a five shot multiple exposure. My camera won't do multiples in-camera; to do multiples I have to shoot separate shots and then combine them in software. Now this gives me an alternative.
I don't think that I could do this as well hand held.

Nikon D70s

Fantastic effect used, I love double exposure images and this one is just outsanding. Lovly soft colors and flow of motion. Voted
