I'm having trouble finding time to catch up on my PAD after running off to the Smokies for a week. The fact that I had to crash on a presentation (given 11/1 - two days after my return - that I hadn't planned to give until 11/28) didn't help at all.
This critter up a tree isn't my normal "thing". I was coming back to the car after after shooting an old mill when I saw this raccoon in a tree next to my car. Change from wide angle to telephoto and shoot. Well, almost. It was raining hard & blowing. I could have shot with my back to the wind and rain & had a chance of keeping the lens face dry - but that would have given me a picture of his butt. So over a fence & into a field - clear plastic bag over the lens to keep it dry while allowing me to compose (sort of). Off with bag and one quick shot - lens is now all wet; back to the car & move on.
