A good day at Shenandoah National Park (photography-wise; otherwise hot and swarms of gnats).
Lots of turk's cap lillies to be found. Butterflies were feeding at the higher elevations where the milkweed were in bloom (totally gone to seed 2000' lower with very few butterflies; gotta know where to look - and when).
For mountain vistas across fields of wildflowers, Bambi, butterflies (including a first for me, monarchs mating) and more turk's cap lillies - start at http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/64193844 and see the next eight following that one.
