Another of several hundred buildings at Sleeping Bear Dunes. They were abandoned after the land was taken in the late 1960's to form this national park. Many were left to decay to the point of destruction. Belatedly, the park service decided to attempt to save & preserve most of the structures - after citizen protests halted the demolition the park service had planned in order to return the land to its natural state. At present, the restoration of the decaying structures is in progress. This old farm is an example of one completed project. Others, sadly, are beyond repair.
