A comical character when viewed from this angle. Came across a lot of these hanging on to bull rush in the cool early morning. They don't fly until they warm up so if you want to shoot these critters you should get to them early - and preferably in a northern clime where it gets cool at night (like here in northern Michigan). At home, in Virginia, they're usually flying by the time I get to them because the nights are warmer.
