This year's version of a favorite of mine first done a year ago - 6/8/05 - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/44528238 This year's places more emphasis on the bluet by making it larger within the frame and using a larger aperture than last year's to reduce the DOF and make the background softer (less competing for attention).
Went back to the same location today in Shenandoah National Park and there were the bluets growing amidst the ferns. I like the simplicity.
Although the bluet is literally resting on the fern (no separation), it appears to floating in the air above it.
