November's club competition has a Nightscape theme. Their definition of a nightscape is an image made before sunrise or after sunset. This was 12 minutes before sunrise and, thus, meets the letter of the law - but I'm not usre about the spirit. The full sized version is very detailed - you can actually see the dew on the blades of grass in the foreground (the camera was in the grass - as was the photographer).
I have heard numerous critiques where the comment was made (regarding a nightscape) that the best time to shoot a nightscape is shortly before or after the sun is below the horizon so that the sky isn't completely black. Well, here it is - but it doesn't seem like night time.
