Got up for sunrise - in fact, set the alarm wrong and got up an hour too early. Dumb. Down to the battlefield - a weekend venture when there's no rush hour traffic turning a 10 minute drive into 20 or more.
Camera is on a tripod (as it always is) and the tripod head is at ground level (and I'm peering down through a right angle viewer - and wearing knee-pads; today was the first time in a long time that a ranger didn't come by - probably because I finally remembered my park pass).
