Maple leaves - shooting down into a red mulch background. Well - it's been what? 3 days with no sun? Seems longer. Don't get me wrong, I like shooting with an overcast sky - great light & colors - but it makes shooting sunrise/set difficult. Plus I lost my shot that I scouted & hiked in the rain four hours to get - due to a wet smudged lens that I didn't recognize until getting home (150 mile round trip to redo - and hope the leaves are still there).
Look at the lens used today - my Nikkor 1:1 macro - the one that used to be my lens of choice before going cold turkey & forcing myself to learn to use the 18-70 at the wide end. It's been fun. So much so that my next lens will probably be something like a 12mm and not something in the 400-600 range.
