Old Rag mountain in the distance, one of the most popular hikes in the Shenandoah National Park. The mid-point of my longest day hike in the park - 15 mile round trip starting at the Skyland lodge (near 4,000 feet elev.), descending to near 1,000 en route to Old Rag via the Old Rag fire road, ascending Old Rag (about 3,300 feet) and then back to Skyland via the White Oak Canyon Falls trail. A long day.
