I'm in the process of converting the small amount of space in my yard permitted for flower beds by our homeowner's association rules from annuals to perennials - actually, as of yesterday, I'm done. Many of my selections were made with an eye toward floral photos, such as these coneflowers. Dahlias, I've had for several years now, are looking better than ever before with loads of blossoms that should be in bloom in about a week (with their usual bad timing of waiting until I'm off at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park for a two week photo trip - but they'll be around until the first frost).
