Dense fog this morning got me out the door - and look what I came back with. A neighbor's irises were in bloom so on my way home from making fog images I stopped. This iris appeared almost black to the naked eye - but here is what the D300 saw. Makes a nice abstract. Stopped my Nikon 105 macro down to f/45 in order to increase the DOF to the point where the interior was in focus (for folks who worry about diffraction - I don't).
