Spent several hours strolling through a nearby forest enjoying the redbuds, dogwoods and wildflowers in bloom. This is a Rue Anemone (or maybe Wood Anemone - anyone?) which is growing in a thick blanket of decaying leaves and up against a colorful fungus which is growing on a fallen tree trunk. The two larger flowers are about 1/2" in diameter. The camera (& tripod) are very close to the ground where my objective was to get good separation between the flowers & green leaves (no overlap). The breeze (it was raining - see the tiny drop on the upper flower) made it tough.
In post-processing I darkened the leaves a lot and the fungus slightly plus cropped from 3:2 to 5:4 to remove excess fungus on the right.
