Went to the mountains looking for fog & rain - and see what I found. Taken through the windshield while pulled off the road (Skyline Drive) in between swipes of the wiper blades. The weather made for nice moody mountain scenes (except for the wind, rain & cold). Part way through the day I switched over to my new LUMIX point & shoot walk around camera as the weather conditions discouraged me from lugging the D300, tripod, & miscellaneous junk around - especially on a 2 mile hike down to some falls (it was coming back up from a humongous elevation drop that about got me & with 15-20 pounds of DSLR gear I'd still be laying there somewhere). I'm pleased with the LUMIX. With 12 MP and RAW files I'm getting better than just OK results.
