Downstream just a bit from yesterday's photo of Blackwater Falls. This is where the river makes its precipitous drop to the bottom of the canyon. The image was made from across the canyon (450mm - 35mm equiv.) and the roar was impressive from even that distance. This image shows just the bottom 25% of a long, long drop (those are full sized trees along the edge & not twigs). Awesome sight & sound - average "I was there" photo.
