It was only a matter of time before I gave in to HDR. Shot about 15 minutes before sunrise.
A four shot image processed in Photomatix. The first shot was was with the right edge of the histogram curve just a hair short of touching the right edge - 1/3 stop more light would have caused blown highlights. From there I made three more shots - each with 2 stops more light that the one before. This brought the left end of the histogram curve up into the mid-tone region.
I didn't try to avoid the HDR "cartoonish" effect. Maybe later. Still in the experimental mode. Without HDR I would normally present this image as mostly silhouettes.
