This owl was not concerned with my presence. I had actually given up because of spending too much time in the -14F weather and had turned the truck around to leave. This put me on the same side of the road with the owl, so I decided to see how unconcerned he was. I stopped, got out directly underneath his tree, set up the tripod and took another 5 minutes of pictures before he got bored. He was about 20-25 feet from me.
