In many respects Hyderabad is changing its shape and structure and it's a delight to see new buildings and prosperity but also quite alarming to see that little of that wealth is being cascaded down to where it's really needed.

This is the view from my room on the 7th floor. The hotel suffers from occasional power cuts. One happened just as the lift's door opened on the 1st floor. It lasted for about 45 minutes and I was so happy that I took the stairs rather than wait until the lift restarted as at least one person was stuck in another lift, which can't have been fun.
