pass through several groups of trinket peddlers, hawking their wares. Generally, they are
persistent but not aggressive, although the whole scene is truly an annoyance. Also, be
wary of pickpockets working the Eiffel Tower. If you go up the Eiffel, expect to be jammed
into the elevators with other visitors like sardines in a can. TIP: Put your back against
an inside wall of the elevator so that you're facing out.
