Shots from a weekend visit late in November 2003 and our first experience of a previously ‘Eastern Block’ country. I did not know what differences to expect. I found a quintessentially European city. I hope to return and ejoy a longer stay.

Christmas markets and an ice castle were under construction in the old square. A huge tree was being dressed and the square hosted a small pop concert on the Saturday evening.
