As I describe in the DPR thread (http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1022&message=28679905 ), the E-3 performed admirably! As did the Zuikos as well. You should see the Canikon pics from this trip, they're literally peppered with lava dust! And their owners were constrained with less optical options as well, as they due to weight and bulk considerations had to leave their 70-200's at home! ;) I truly hope the next E-x will be as rugged as the E-3. That's an option/niche which is imperative for photographic work like this. I'm also looking forward to get the next model. If you by any chance should want some input on that, don't hesitate to drop a mail... :) Thanks again!
